The Bar Choral Society

BCS (14)    BCS (82)    BCS (64)

The Bar Choral Society was founded in 2014 and presented its inaugural concert in June 2014 in the Temple Church to great acclaim.

The choir sings two concerts per year and our next is on 11th April 2017 when we will be
performing Bach St John Passion in Temple Church - more detail on our events page.

Our most recent concert was held on 16th November 2016 in Middle Temple Hall, more detail to be found on our concerts page.

The Bar Choral Society offers the opportunity to barristers, judges, family members and those who work with the legal profession to come together to sing choral music to a high standard.  The Society rehearses and performs in Temple Church which has a long association with the Law, providing a wonderful acoustic and a beautiful setting for the choir.

The Society is honoured that the distinguished and much performed choral composer
John Rutter CBE is our President.  The musical director is Greg Morris, and details of the
Society’s other officers can be seen here.

The Society is funded by modest subscriptions, concert receipts and contributions from supporters and sponsors. The choir has quickly grown: there are approximately 100 members,
details of current subscription rates and existing choir members can be found by logging in here.

We welcome new applications from singers and the form is available here: Membership Form
